Usually, this Psalm is associated with times of distress. But the words are actually an affirmation of the fact that God is with us at all times. Surely that is worthy of celebration.

Adonai is my shepherd, I shall not want. God makes me lie down in green pastures. God leads me beside the still waters. God renews my life. God leads me in the paths of righteousness, as befits God's name. Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup is abundantly filled. Surely
goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of Adonai forever.
