Arcadia
ARCADIA
words and music by Neal Katz
There’s a place where I belong
It won’t take me long to get there
I feel a breeze blow across my face
And I smile as I take in the fresh air
A mountaintop nestled in my dreams
And it seems to help ease my mind
My eyes roll back, I am relaxed
As the wind rustles through the pines
Arcadia / Like a place a never been
Arcadia / Sometimes I yearn for nothingness
Arcadia
The bills to pay, no time to play
I am palm-piloted out of control
And I am caught between is and ought
I was once taught to take time for my soul
It’s a carousel spinning
turning all the colors to white
A bland and empty emptiness
that makes me yearn for flight
To fly above the clouds
beyond all I’ve known before
On a journey to find solace,
to let my spirit soar
